Håkan started a label in 1997 called No Looking Back Records. He released a live Frodus album and eventually had the band come on over and tour Europe for the first time. At that time he met Shelby and he would say to him that speaking English makes his tongue dry. Years passed and they kept in contact, Håkan forming Division Of Laura Lee and launching Carcrash Records. Shelby starting the bands The Cassettes and Decahedron. Håkan ended up putting out such acts as: C.ARRME, DIALOG CET, INC, plus others. Shelby gradually amassed a closet-full of his own back-catalog in the form of DAT tapes, CD-Rs, ADAT tapes, and 2" reel to reels that were bending the shelves. In the early 2000s Håkan and Shelby's brain stems intertwined more as they shared design work as Passkontroll and the project band Frantic Mantis. They decided they might as well share the label as Shelby had a slew of back-catalog to unleash and the concept to document exciting DC underground music that never saw the light of day. In 2006, CARCRASH RECORDS morphed into a new modus-operandi of heralding full-lengths by Sweden's best spastic and angular bands and digitally unleashing unheard music from America's nation's capitol, Sweden's small provinces, and perhaps beyond.

We don't send out promos unless it is for a particular release under a very precisely calculated time. If something is planned, promos will be disseminated through a promotions company whose name will be listed here. At the moment we have nothing planned. So such a request will be unheeded so don't ask.

Sorry, we don't service radio even if it is College™. However, you can gladly download any of our free tracks in our media section or under the individual releases in the releases section to play on your show. We have high-quality encoded mp3s that glisten with brilliant ethereal light! If you have a podcast and play one of our songs please let us know as we'll gladly spread the word of your podcast through our MySpace page and conventional e-mail list.

That's great! Though we don't "sign" bands, only autographs. If anything we work with bands if we are blown away by a band's live show or are friends with said-band already and agree through a friendship-based relationship to release something. We go by the old Dischord motto of no contracts and no bullshit. We will however happily hold onto your demo so when you sign to Victory or Equal Vision we can sell your demo on eBay and buy ourselves some frozen Dr. Oetker's pizza at the cornerstore here in lovely Gothenburg, Sweden.

No way buddy, we get enough spam already in our dilapitating inboxes. Though you can write us via our MySpace page and if you have a clever name and don't look like you are trying too hard we'll maybe have a listen. Yes, even us geezers like to be surprised every once in a while on the Rupurt Murdoch owned bastion of media.

All tour dates are posted when we know them on our News page. If nothing is there then there ain't no tours that we were told of. Keep in mind, it is always better to check via the band's website or myspace page as us label swine are the last to know. Damn artists.
How do I place an order?
Purchase via iTunes, eMusic, or a plastic disc from us! Just choose your preferred method by the BUTTON(S) displayed next to each release. If say "iTunes" isn't there it means it is not available on iTunes. For physical medium we use the PayPal shopping cart system. No no froggy, it does NOT mean you have to have a PayPal account yourself. You can simply use the cart and check-out with your credit-card without ever having to setup an account. After you have everything you want click "I do not have an account" which is under the login/password prompt and you will be taken to a check-out via credit card. Neat! And no, we don't believe that PayPal is a part of the Bavarian Illuminati.
I would like to distribute Carcrash goods or have my store carry them. Please elucidate.
